Eczema (atopic dermatitis) is a skin condition that causes red, scaly, itchy or cracked patches of skin. Eczema can affect skin on any part of the body, but the most commonly affected areas include the scalp, elbows and behind the knees. Eczema can be categorized as mild or severe.
